With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization process, contradiction between growing social needs for land and land ’s finiteness together with irreversibility has been exposed gradually. As a kind of scarce and non-renewable element,land resource has been an important constraint for economical and social development.If used sustainably,land would developed into an important guarantee for regional sustainable development. Currently,researches on sustainable land use evaluation has developed rapidly and theoretical framework of its evaluation system has already been contructed preliminarily.While scholares have partly reached a general consensus on sustainable land use evaluation,specific evaluation indicators and evaluation methods are still at the exploratory stage,and few studies attempt to apply BP neural network model to County-wide land resource sustainability evaluation.
