AbstractIn the era of knowledge economy, human resources has become the key to modern enterprises to gain competitive advantages in the market. For those university canteens which are not completely get rid of the stigma of planned economy, internal human resource management reform to break the existing bottleneck in the development, has become a challenge in front. Compensation management and performance appraisal are two important and relevantmodules in human resource management. As the two parts are well reformed , it means a big step towards the modern enterprise management , therefore, theresearch on compensation management and performance appraisal of university canteensis meaningful.Firstly, this paper describes the background and significanceof the research , outlining the status of related research of broadband compensation and performance appraisal at home and abroad, put forward own views to the existing research results. Secondly, the paper describes and analyzes the current status of compensation management and performance appraisal in the object of the study - H University canteen,pointing out existing problems and determining the strategic direction through SWOT analysis. Thirdly, based on the theory of broadband-pay,the paper rebuild the compensation system of H university canteen through steps of job evaluation, pay level survey and introduction of broadband pay system. Finally, in the direction of strategic objectives and based on the re-designed broadband-pay system, this paper design a brand-new performance appraisal system for H university canteen: first , creating a new KPI system for both organization and individuals through BSC and determining the weight of each indicator by AHP; second, designing the specific implementation process ofperformance assessment based on the idea of 360-degree performance appraisal; third, making a few recommendations to enhance the ability of performance appraisal for H university canteen.Keywords: University
