ResearchonCondensedAssociationRulesandItsApplicationtotheEarlyWarningofAcademicAchievementsABSTRACTDataminingistheprocessofretrievingtheimplicit，unknown,butpotentiallyusefulinformationandknowledgefromthemassive,vagueandrandomdata.Itisadeepdataanalysismethod,regardedasoneoftheeffectivemethodstosolvetheproblemof“DataExplosionbutKnowledgePoverty”.Asawidelyappliedtechniqueinthedatamining,theassociationanalysisistofindthecorrelationamongtheindividualfeaturesfromthemassiveandcomplicateddataandtoarriveatguidingprinciples.Therefore,itisofgreatpracticalvalue.Intheprocessofgeneratingassociationrulesmode,thetraditionalSupport-Confidenceframeworkgeneratesalargenumberofassociationrules,whichresultsinabundantredundancyandhindertheusers’selection.Thisthesisadoptsthethresholdofassociationcoefficientstoconstructacondensedassociationrulesmodewhichoffersearlywarningofacademicachievementsincolleges.Mainworksofthesisareasfollows:Thetheoriesofassociationanalysisarepresented.Theproblemsoftheexistingstandardsofassociationrulesareanalyzed.Thethresholdofassociationcoefficientsisintroducedtocondensetheminedmaximalfrequentsetssothatthecondensedsetsofassociationrulesarebuilt.Theexperimentsprovethatthemodeiseffective.Tomeetthedemandofearlywarningofacademicachievementsincollege,awarningmechanismbasedonthedataminingisproposed.Basedontheacademicachievementsofthefour-gradesubjectsfrom2005to2008inAnhuiVocationalCollegeofElectronicsandInformationTechnology,thedatabaseofcollegestudents’academicachievementsispre-processed.Theitemsetsfrequentsetsminedfromthedatabaseoftheabovecollegestudents’academicachievementsarecondensedsothatacondensedassociationrulesmodeissetup.Themodeisappliedtoofferearlywarningforstudents’academicachievements.Totesttheeffectivenessofthismode,afewsuchstandardsasaccuracy,mathematicexpectation,andmeansquareerrorareadoptedtotestthepropertiesofminedassociationrules.Also,astudyisconductedtocomparethenewmodewiththetraditionalassociationrules.Thefindingsoftheexperimentsshowsthatthenewmetho
