摘要词汇教学在小学英语教学中起着举足轻重的作用。然而在实际教学中,小学词汇教 学实效欠佳,很多小学生尚未掌握合适的词汇学习方法,对学习英语词汇形成畏难情绪。 为了在一定程度上解决实际教学中存在的问题,本文从可视化词汇教学入手,探讨其在 实际教学中的应用效果。本研究以漳州市第二实验小学四年级 107 名学生为研究对象(其 中实验班 55 人、控制班 52 人)。笔者在实验班进行可视化词汇教学;在控制班进行传 统词汇教学,实验过程历时 20 周。在实验过程中收集学生实验前调查问卷、实验后调 查问卷、实验前测成绩及实验后测成绩等数据并运用 SPSS 软件对数据进行对比分析。 调查问卷表明可视化词汇教学深受小学生的欢迎,其直观展示的有关词汇图形符合小学 生的直观思维方式,有效提高小学生词汇学习兴趣;同时可视化展示的词汇内在结构和 词汇间的联系能培养学生通过词义联系、词形联系、发音规律联系等多种方式学习词汇。 独立样本 t 检验结果(P =0.0140.05)表明可视化词汇教学能有效提高小学生词汇学习 效果。关键词:小学英语;词汇教学;可视化;实效AbstractVocabulary teaching plays a decisive role in English learning for pupils,but it is not as good as expected. As a matter of fact, many pupils don’t grasp appropriate vocabulary learning strategies and form negative moods towards learning English. In order to solve theproblem, the author applied visualization in primary English vocabulary teaching. Based on visualization, this study takes 107 pupils (55 pupils in experimental class and 52 pupils in controlled class) at Zhangzhou Second Experimental School as research subjects. In experimental class, the pupils experience Visualization vocabulary teaching; while, the controlled class is conducted by traditional teaching method. The experiment lasts for 20 weeks. After collecting the results of questionnaires and scores of tests before and after the experiment, the author contrasted the results and analyzed the scores by SPSS. The questionnaires show that Visualization vocabulary teaching is popular with the pupils. It conforms to pupils’ intuitive thinking and heightens their interests in learning vocabulary. At the same time, the inner connection of vocabularies cultivates pupils’ ability to learn vocabulary by recalling the connection of the meaning of words, the morphology and the rules of pronunciation. The result of independent sample t test(P= 0.014 0.05) convinces us that visualization in primary English vocabulary teaching does help improve pupils’ ability to learn vocabulary.Key words: primary school English; vocabulary teaching; vi
