AbstractAccordingtoWorldhealthOrganization,peoplewhoare60yearsoldindevelopingcountriesor65yearsoldindevelopedcountriesstepintoperiodofaging.Theagingoforgantissuesoftheelderlymayresultinphysical,mentaloremotionalvariationsfortheelderly.Attractrecordamountoftheelderlybringaboutenormouspressuretofamiliesandsocietyandcausealotofsocialproblems.InChina,associetychangingandrestructuring,thetraditionalideasandwaystosupporttheelderlyisaffected.Themethodsofliteraturereview,quantitativeresearchandqualitativeresearchwereusedtostudyqualityoflifeandsubjectivewell-beingoftheelderlyandcomparedtothesimilaritiesanddifferenceofthequalityoflifeandsubjectivewell-beingamongtheelderlywhohavedifferentsupportwaysfromfamilies,communitiesandsociety.Firstly,accordingtoobjectivesofthisstudyandliteraturereview,quantitativeresearchwasusedtorevealthestatusofthequalityoflifeoftheelderlyinChina,toexploreeffectsofthequalityoflifeonsubjectivewell-being,toexplorethemajorfactorswhichaffectsubjectivewell-beingoftheelderly,thentoprovidepsychologicalbasisforhowtoimprovethequalityoflifeandmaintainrelativelyhighlevelsofsubjectivewell-being.Secondly,in-depthinterviewofqualitativeresearchwasused.Semi-structuredInterviewsyllabuswasusedtointerviewandcollectdata,thenanalysesthedata.Consideredinthickdescriptionandholisticways,descripttheeffectsofdifferentsupportwaysonthequalityoflifeandsubjectivewell-beingfortheelderly.Andexplorenatureofthefactandtherelationshipandthesituationalcontexts.Severalmainconclusionsweredrawnfromabovestudiesasfollowing:1）Thegapofthelevelofqualityoflifebetweenurbanandruralisnarrowing.Buttheurbanelderlywhoenjoyrichsocialsupportresourceshavehigherlevelsofsubjectivewell-beingthantheruralelderly.2)Physicalactivitylevelsandmentalfunctionimpactonthequalityoflifeandsubjectivewell-beingoftheelderlydirectly.Theelderlywhohavearelativelyhighlevelssocialparticipationcanhavehigherlevelsofsubjectivewell-being.Housingsupportfortheelderlycombinesthevirtuesoffamilysupportandsocialsupportfortheelderly.Theel
