AbstractTheefficiencyofaTEdevicecanbedefinedbythedimensionlessthermoelectricfigureofmerit,ZT=S2·?·T/κ，WhereSstandfortheSeebeckcoefficient,σistheelectricalconductivityandκrepresentthetotalthermalconductivity.Atthesametime,σS2characterstheelectricproperties.Skutterudite(CoSb3)materialshaveattractedwideattentionsinceitwasproposed.ThemethodsatambientpressurehavemanylimitstoprepareSkutterudite(CoSb3)materials,becauseitisaprocessofPeritecticconversion.ButthemethodofHigh-PressureandHigh-Temperaturehasmanyadvantagesinthepreparationofmaterials.Inthisstudy,wepreparedthermoelectricmaterialsbyHPHTmethodandquenchingmethod.Firstofall,wesynthesizedCoSb3skutteruditecompoundsbyHigh-PressureandHigh-Temperaturetechnique.ThesampleswerecharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction,whichindicatedthatPolycrystallineSkutteruditewithabcccrystalstructurewasprepared.TheSEMindicatedthatthesampleshaveabundantgrainboundariesandthecrystalgrainsizesvarybetween1-2um.Secondly,wepreparedthesystemCo4Sb11.7Te0.3atmanypressurepointsatthefundamentofpureCoSb3skutterudite.Theelectricalresistivities,Seebeckcoefficientsandpowerfactorofthesamplesweremeasuredintheroomtemperature.Thethermoelectricpropertiesofthesamplesweremeasuredinthetemperaturerangeof300-743K.Thepowerfactorisincreasingwithincreasingtemperature.Thehighestpowerfactorof19.04W·cm-1·K-2wasobtainedat743K.Thethermalconductivityofsamplesdecreasedwithincreasingoftemperature.Thelowersamples’thermalconductivity4.13W·m-1·K-1wasobtainedat743K.Ultimately,wecalculatethematerialZTof0.34atatemperatureof743K.Thetelluriumreplacementcaneffectivelyreducethematerialsresistivityandthermalconductivity,andultimatelyenhancethevalueofthethermoelectricfigureofmeritofthematerial.WecanconcludethatchemicaldopingwithTeattheSbsitethesystemCo4Sb11.7Te0.3canimprovethethermoelectricperformancebyenhancingtheelectricitypropertiesanddecreasingthethermalconductivity.ThethermoelectricpropertiesofBa-filledCoSb3skutteruditethermoelectricmaterialswasstudiedbasedonthetelluriumofthereplacementSkutteru
