TROOP 14 – VENTURE PATROL PROVIDE CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITES FOR OLDER SCOUTS What is Venturing? Dictionary Definition BSA Venturing Programs Crew Troop Patrol* c) BSA Goals: Experience, Development, Leadership, Growth Overview of Troop 14 Venture Patrol ` Identify, plan and carry out one major “super” high adventure program per year (unusual activities may require longer lead time). Conduct qualifying adventure activities to train and prepare for “super” program. Scouts are responsible for all planning and implementation. Adults introduce the program and set parameters to ensure safety, including types of qualifying activities, tests, and training regimens. Otherwise, they serve only as advisors/consultants, providing appropriate advice and assistance when requested by Scouts. The Patrol will provide regular reports, presentations and educational programs for the entire Troop as requested by the Senior Patrol Leader. The Patrol is free to organize and carry out other activities for fun and learning in accordance with BSA policies and rules.
