AbstractAsisatoxicelement,whichisknownasoneofthemostimportantpollutant,widelyexistsinthewater,soilandorganism.Theredoxofironhaveimportantinfluenceonarsenicremovingandtransforminginnature.ThetransformationofironbymicroorganismisthekeyfactorsaffectingofthebehaviorofAs.Atpresent,mostresearchfocusedonmicroorganismseparationinenvironment,theadsorption,coprecipitationandoxidationofAsbyironoxide.ButtheresearchininterrelationbetweenthereductionofironandAsoxidation-reductionintheenvironmentparticipatedbythemicroorganismsareveryfew.Theexperimentwasconductedunderlaboratoryconditions,wedomesticateandpurecultureS.oneidensisMR-1,andaddAsandFe(III)mixedmicroorganismsatthereactionsystem,studyingtherelationshipbetweentheFe(III)reductionbyS.oneidensisMR-1andcouplingarsenicoxidation-reduction,toprovidescientificbasisforwaterpollutioncontrolofAs.Themainresearchcontentsandresultsareasfollows:TheresultsofmicroorganismcultivatedshowedthatS.oneidensisMR-1cangrowwellinlowconcentrationofAs,exceptitsgrowthbeingrestrainedinacertainextent,thisrestrainwasmainlyembodiedinthelagphaseoftheextensionofbacterialstraingrowthcurve,buthadnosignificanteffectontheexponentialphaseofgrowth.whentheinitialconcentrationofAs(III)(orAs(V))is1mg·L-1,theinitialgrowthofS.oneidensisMR-1hasacertaindegreeofinhibition,andAs(III)inhibitoryeffectonthegrowthwasmoreevidentthanAs(V),butboththeirmaxgrowthwaschosetothegrowthwhendidn’taddAs.AddingdifferentAsconcentrations：0,1,2,3,4mg·L-1inmicroorganismsculturesystem,wefoundtheconcentrationofAscouldinhibitthedissimilatoryreductionFe(III)byS.oneidensisMR-1.WiththeincreaseofAsconcentration,themoreobviousinhibition,thelessFe(II)generation.TheconcentrationofAscouldinhibitS.oneidensisMR-1grown,withtheincreaseofAsconcentration.ironreductionratereducedbyaddingAs,Ascaninhibitdissimilatoryironreductionbyrestrictingbacteriagrowthandactivity.ByaddingtheAsandFe(III)mixedmicroorganismscultureatthesamereactionsystematthesametime,wefoundthatS.oneidensisMR-1dissimilatoryreductionFe(III)causedAs
