Leaders relationship management network(领导者的关系管理网)
Want to change from a manager to a leader? Of course。 However, you may not realize that the transition from a management personnel as the leader, building a network construction, can provide support, feedback, ideas, resources and information for their interpersonal relationship network, will be a big challenge.
Managers are promoted because they have very strong professional skills. But when it comes to solving global strategic problems, relationships are needed rather than analytical skills. At this time, dealing with the current and potential stakeholders, is not no positive, but they work in the core content. Through the study, the author finds three patterns of interpersonal relationship construction:
Business oriented (operational) interpersonal network
All managers need to build good relationships with people who can help them do their job. The purpose of building this network is to make sure that the task is complete. The relationship between the network is determined by the nature of the work and the organizational structure, so the business network often exists within the organization. Because of the limited network membership, the network will not help much more than helping managers complete their work at hand.
Personal (personal) interpersonal network
Once aware of their work over reliance on internal relations, management personnel will seek to have the same ideas and their own people in the organization, and through participation in professional associations, Alumni Association, clubs and other interest groups to build personal networks. Personal network can provide a safe space for personal development. Unfortunately, many managers fail to recognize that these relationships and organizational strategies can only help managers successfully accomplish leadership roles.
