ABSTRACTTherestorationcapabilityshouldbeconsideredinpowersystemoperationand constructionwiththeexpandingofpowersystemandtheincreasingcomplexityofthe system.Themostimportantcriteriaisthestabilityduring andrestorespeedwhichisrelated tothesumofcapacityoftheblack-startunits.Thethermoelectricpowerplantwiththe functionofFCBcanremainislandoperationwithhouseloadafteroff-gridaccident.The FCBplantrejectsloadandavoidsthemasterfueltrip.Afterthefaultclearance,thepower plant can be connectedtothe grid immediately.When the off-grid accident isover,the plant suppliesthepowertothegridimmediately.ThefunctionofFCBmakesnormal thermoelectricpowerplantablack-startunitwithlargecapacity.TheFCBplantsimprove the rate of grid restoration.Firstly,thedifferencesbetweentheFCBplantandtheordinaryplantaredescribed. Thereasonsplantremainingislandoperatingwithhouseloadandavoidingthemasterfuel tripareanalyzed.ThemainfactorswhichdecidetheplantscangetintotheFCBstateor not.AccordingtotherealsituationofZhuhaipowerplantUnit1,adynamicmodelofFCB powerplantisestablishedbasedonclassicalmodelofthermoelectricpowerplant.The modelsimulatesthechangeofsteamturbine,excitationsystem,generator,PSSetcwhen FCB plant gets off the grid.TocheckwhethertheFCBplantcanrestoretheblackgridasablack-startplant,the experimentprogramisdesignedbased onZhuhaipowerplant Unit 1.
