Warm up sing a song “copy me do” Ask one student to close the door. Presentation 1Just now .the student can help the teacher close the door, it’s his ability . present the title of Unit 3 My abilities divide the word into 4 parts according to their pronunciation. Read the word with beats. Most of the children can read it correctly. explain the word with a simple sentence: I can….. Introduce the teacher’s abilities and put the new words into the sentence: I can …. Eg: I can draw . I can jump. I can sing . I can read. I can write . I can dance. Practice Read the words together. play the “bomb game” (Draw a bomb under one of the new words ,the students read them loudly. Stop at the word with a bomb .the one who make a mistake will be bombed.) Read the word in a loud or low voice .(If the teacher read in a loud voice ,the children must read in a low voice . vice versa. if no one make a mistake the students can get one point .otherwise the teacher can get a point.) practice in pairs tell your desk mates your abilities with drills : I can …… Display Put the sentence into the song “Copy me do ”(Copy ,copy, copy me do , I can read , What can you do?.......)
