The boy realized the danger and began to run away.　 →The boy was aware of the danger and began to run away.　 3．避免重复 尽量避免过多地使用某一个单词，必要时选择使用其他恰当的同义词或词组来代替。 I like reading while my brother likes watching football matches. →I like reading while my brother enjoys watching football matches. 二、使用高级句式，让句子靓起来 1．恰当使用被动语态 Above all, we must do something to stop pollution. →Above all, something must be done to stop pollution. 2．使用强调句 The accident happened the other day. →The accident did happen the other day. He didnt come to the party because he was very busy. →It was because he was very busy that he didnt come to the party. 3．使用倒装句 We can only improve our English in this way. →Only in this way can we improve our English. We dont know its value until we lose health. →Not until we lose health do we know its value. 4．使用省略句 Although they were faced with many problems, they didnt lose heart. →Although faced with many problems, they didnt lose heart. 5．使用感叹句 We had a very good time with the peasants that day. →What a good time we had with the peasants that day! 6．使用with复合结构 Because there was too much noise, I couldnt go on studying. →With the noise going on, I couldnt go on studying. 7．使用虚拟语气 I didnt take his advice, so I failed in the exam. →If I had taken his advice, I wouldnt have failed in the exam.
