注意事项 鱼类含有的重金属如汞及其他有害物质 FDA建议:孕妇、儿童避免大量食用汞污染的鱼 (如鲨鱼) 鱼去皮、去脂肪减少污染 Thanks * Relative risk of sudden cardiac death and blood omega-3 levels: Physicians Health Study Using data from the Physicians Health Study, Albert et al. tested the hypothesis that a low blood omega-3 level would be associated with increased risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD). They analyzed blood samples that had been collected at study recruitment (mid 1980s), when the male physicians were free of known CHD. Over the ensuing 17 years, about 100 cases of SCD occurred in this cohort. Frozen blood samples were analyzed from these men and from matching controls who had not had SCD. The whole blood long-chain omega-3 FA level (expressed as the sum of EPA + DHA + docosapentaenoic acid [DPA, the C22:5 intermediate between EPA and DHA]) was significantly lower in cases vs. controls (p=0.01). In addition, when examined by quartile of blood long-chain omega-3 FA level and adjusted for assignment to aspirin/beta-carotene/placebo, body mass index (BMI), history of diabetes, history of hypertension, history of hypercholesterolemia, alcohol consumption, exercise frequency, parental history of MI at age 60 years, and trans unsaturated and monounsaturated FA intake, the risk for SCD was reduced by 90% in the highest compared with the lowest quartile. These data suggest not only that low omega-3 FA level may be in the causal pathway for SCD, but also that measurement of omega-3 biomarkers might serve as a predictor of risk for SCD.
