Forrest Gump Ive seen the movie for 2times before I read the book,but this holiday gave me the chance to read the original work.After reading the book,theres one thing that I have to say:the movie has changed a lot from the book,but its obvious that the movie is better than the book, because the movie gives all the viewers what they want to see.For example,the movie mostly shows the positive things of Forrest Gump instead of ridicule and prejudice in the book,and,the book says that Forrest Gump was dropped out of his college just because he lost an American football match,but the movies says Forrest finally and successfully graduated from college. Born in Greenbow, Alabama in the early 50ies, Forrest Gump has a difficult childhood. His low intelligence and disabled feet give people the reason for teasing the boy. Only his mother, a proud single woman, believes in Forrest and wants her son to live a normal life.This is the begining of the whole story,which shows a great power of mothers love.The uncomparable success he can get just because Forrest grow up under this kind of courage of his mother.Life is like a box of chocolates: you never know what youre gonna get.This is a sentence said by the great mother before she dead that leaves readers lots of things to think about. Is the environment around you leads to your failure or just because you are unable to grab the opportunity or you just dont know what perseverance exactly means? Since his first day at school Forrest has been knowing Jenny Curan, a cute little girl who also suffered from terrible childhood experiences that mark her for life.It is this girl who taught Forrest what is love though it was a twisted and tragic love.Run, Forrest!
