Some items to be discussed Monitoring with ATHENA Beyond MDT and RPC GNAM Libraries Histograms Naming Convention Resources for monitoring Database Monitoring with ATHENA Efforts are ongoing for online monitoring based on ATHENA (i.e.: standard offline environment and code) and we believe that both approaches are needed and complementary. Nevertheless, we are NOT aware of specific work, on this item, in the muon community. Please, let us know if such a statement should be changed. Other detectors (TGC, CSC) wish to use GNAM Write the libraries completely following GNAM group endors (see GNAM talk) Support from GNAM group is granted BUT only people from a specific detector community can do the job (decoding and physical quantity to be monitored are detector expert stuff) It should be started now … in the pit maybe too late :-( Histograms Naming Convention (1) MWG is preparing a document to define a convention for histograms name https://edms.cern.ch/document/710911/1 It should become a reference for both histogram producers (every monitoring application used in ATLAS) and histogram users (everyone who wish to look at this histograms) Discussion on the document is still open.
