摘要 电影是现代社会中人们获取信息和娱乐的方式之一。近年来，字幕翻译在我国作为一门新兴领域逐渐兴起。观看电影的过程实际上也是文化交流的一种方式, 电影字幕的翻译对于异国观众对源语文化的理解至关重要。 但是由于电影字幕翻译受时间和空间等多方面的局限性, 以及不同文化所特有的表达和文化空缺现象使得电影字幕翻译更加复杂。归化和异化是处理源语文化和目的文化两者关系的两种策略。 这两种方法的选择和使用既是译者翻译的难点，也是翻译界争论的焦点。本文试图借用翻译目的论的理念来解读和探讨电影《泰囧》的英文字幕翻译是如何处理这两种翻译策略的。通过分析了电影《泰囧》的具体翻译目的,作者得出结论,为了完成其具体翻译目的, 在字幕翻译种应将归化与异化相结合。之后,作者探讨了归化和异化在此部电影中的具体运用。这些翻译方法的应用更好的证明了作者的结论。 全文共分七章, 第一章介绍目的论的概念和主要内容指出字幕翻译的特点和重要性，同时指出了本论文的研究目的和方法。第二章前人在这两个方面所进行过的研究和取得的成果， 第三章作者研究了《泰囧》这部电影的具体翻译目的如何决定了应将归化和异化相结合。 第四、五两章作者具体分析了归化和异化分别在这部电影中的运用。第六章是对全文的总结。 关键词: 字幕翻译, 归化, 异化, 目的论, 《泰囧》 Abstract Films are essential in modem world as an important channel for information and entertainment. As we all know, as a new object in translation field, recent years have seen a growing demand for subtitle translation in China. Watching foreign films also is a fabulous way of exchanging and communication among various cultures. Thus, subtitle translation is significant for foreign viewers to have a better understanding of the culture reflected in the movie．However，because of the constraints such as time and space constraints，and the cultural-specific expressions and cultural vacancy, subtitle translation becomes quite difficult and complicated. To deal with the relationship of source language and target language in subtitle translation, translator has to choose between the two basic translation strategies，namely, domestication and foreignization, This is a rosy topic and also a hard time for translators. This Paper tries to solve the problem with the facilitation of skopostheorie and explore how to deal with their relationship in film subtitle translation with a case study of Lost in Thailand．This thesis is all attempt to apply the functionalist theory to subtitling. By analyzing the specific skopos in the film Lost in Thailand，the author comes to the conclusion that domestication and foreignizafion should be combined to fulfill the very skopos of the film．And the later study on what specific translation
