AbstractF1 racing car is a famous sport which attract many fans all over the world. Every F1 racing car contains both intelligence and high-tech, especially in aerodynamics. Firstly the speed is the key for the win,so it is easy to reduce the aerodynamic drag with a good modeling. Secondly, because of the high speed, a good modeling will create huge downforce to keep the operational stability while the car is running. For the safety side, the downforce is more important than the aerodynamic drag.By applying computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology and adopting Realizable model and non-equilibrium wall function, a CFD model for the body surface and its exterior flow field of a F1 Racing Car is set up which include some details. For example, the rear view mirror and tyre. After the simulation, we finished the analysis for the pressure about the wing and body. In addition, we getthe reason for the origin ofCd andC . Enhance the analysis for the onflow behind the racing car.LTaking advantage of the wind tunnel in Hunan University, we finished the experiment for the F1 racing car. The result show that it is close between the experiment and simulation, Which in turn that it is reliable for the simulation and the racing car is good in aerodynamics.After the simulation and wind-tunnel test, we get some precept and experience about the aerodynamic. It is significant that we have some change for the exterior of the FSAE.Especially about the front and rear wing, groove and so on. It is be proved that the FSAE is better atLaerodynamic by the simulation with the improvement about the C good condition in economic and security after the calculation..
