The plot is the backbone of a narrative. It is the outline or plan the whole narrative rests on. Narratives have: An orientation, which sets the scene, Complications, or things that happened to make the story interesting, A climax, which is the high point, or final complication, and A resolution, when everything is explained or worked out and the story reaches a satisfying ending.
