Popularity of Early Childhood Educaion Today, the public at large is very enthusiastic regarding the importance of the early years in learning and later development. Families And Early Childhood How to best meet children’s need and how to best meet these needs in culturally appropriate ways are always primary goals for early childhood education. Early childhood professionals agree that a good way to meet the needs of children is through their families , whatever that family unit may be . Families And Early Childhood Fourth, addressing the needs of children and their families as a whole, known as a holistic approach to educaion and the delivery of services, enables early childhood professionals and others to address a range of concerns at the same time. Terminology of Early Childhood Education The term prekindergarten(前幼儿园) is growing in use and refers to programs for four-year-olds attending a program prior to kindergarten. Another term, transitional kindergarten (过渡幼儿园), designates a programs for children who are not ready for kindergarten and who can benefit from another year of the program. The Ecology of Early Chilhood (早期儿童生态学) Ecology(生态学)is the study of how people interact with their environments and the consequences ( good and bad) of these interactions .
