This paper describes the understanding of the concept of urban design, characteristics of the sub- ject, the process and methods of the concept of urban design, which helps build a basic framework for the teaching of philosophy. At the same time, this paper introduces the teaching practice of theme concept in urban design course, and expounds some teaching experiences and common problems.
