THESTUDYONTHEEFFECTOFEXPENDITUREOFSOCIALINSURANCEONTHECONSUMPTIONOFRESIDENT—BASEDONCHINESEEXPERIENDDATAAbstractIn2008,withtheimpactoftheinternationalfinancialcrisisspreadingaroundtheworld,Chinaseconomyhasalsobeenseriouslyaffected.Historicalexperienceandlessonsmakethecountryawareofconsumption’simportantroleinrespondingtothefinancialcrisisaswellastherecoveryofthenationaleconomy.Foralongtime,Chinaisacountrythatpaysattentiontoinvestmentandexport,butdespisesconsumption.Inrecentyearshavebeenexecutesisexportstimulateeconomicgrowthpatternofconsumptioninthefueleconomicgrowth,withtheimportanceofeconomiccrisisdidnotcauseenoughattention.The12thFive-YearPlanclearlypointedoutthatourcountryshouldgraduallyfromrelyingmainlyoninvestment-ledtothemodeofeconomicgrowthbystimulatingconsumption,exportsandinvestmentcoordination,expanddomesticconsumptiondemandtoplayakeyroleintheeconomicdevelopment.Therearemanyfactorsaffectingconsumerspending,atthisstageinourcountry,theimperfectsocialinsurancesystemisoneoftheimportantreasonsforrestrictingthegrowthofChinasconsumer.Basedonreadingandcombedalargenumberofdomesticandforeignliteratureaboutsocialsecurityandconsumption,Ifoundthatonthepartofthesocialsecurity(socialinsurance)andconsumerrelationship,foreignscholarsprobablyholdthreerepresentativeviews:Firstly,socialsecurity(socialinsurance)hasapositiveimpactonhouseholdconsumption;secondly,socialsecurity(socialinsurance)hasanegativeimpactontheresidents’consumption;Thirdly,socialsecurity(socialinsurance)hasnosignificanteffectonhouseholdconsumption.WhicheffectdoesChina’ssocialinsurancefundhaveonconsumptionexpenditure?FollowtheWesternacademicresearchconclusions,orhasitsownparticularity?Inthispaper,byusingtimeseriesdataandpaneldata,empiricalanalysisoftherelationshipbetweenurbanresidentsconsumptionandChinassocialinsurancefundexpenditures,itisconcludedthatthesocialinsurancefundspendingindevelopedareasinChinaurbanhasapromotingrole,andinthewesternunderdevelopedregionshasacertaindegreeofcrowdingoutargument.Finally,
