Section A(1a—1c) 1、Objectives: Language: 1) Develop a better vocabulary bank, in particular on the words of weather which are new and how those words are pronounced. 2) Use what they have learned in class to describe the weather. Language Skill: 1) Students will listen to the tape containing information necessary for the completion of the task . 2) Pair work: learn to ask and answer “Hows the weather (in...)? Its... Learning: 1) Cognitive: students can recognize the information about the weather. 2) Communication: in pair work, students get the chance to communicate with others. Affect: The content is close to daily life, which is easy to inspire students’ strong motivation and intense interest, encouraging them to be cooperative and know how to describe the weather.It help them learn to care about the weather. Cultural: Students have a good knowledge of the weather in different places. 2、Students’ Prior knowledge: 1) Students have learned some words of weather,eg.rain,snow,cloud,wind,etc. 2) Students have learned special question,eg,“Whats the weather like (in…)?” 3、Anticipated Problems and Possible Solutions: 1) Students may have problems with new words (e.g rain,raining,rainy,ect.), so the teacher will explain the rules of the word formation and read new words to help reinforce memory. 2) Students may have problems using the language to describe the weather so the T will give examples. 4、Teaching materials and aids : blackboard, cassette recorder, pictures of weather, tape 5、Focuses: 1)words: rain,windy,cloudy,sunny,snow,weather 2)sentences:-Hows the weather (in...)?
