The current research investigates the importance of matching the factor, regulatory focus, on the efficacy of these two strategies in reducing implicit prejudice. In particular, take regulatory focus as a factor, and use the way of situational induction to start subjects’ prejudice attitude towards homosexuality, investigating the matching of regulatory focus and behavior strategy between homosexuality implicit prejudices. This study includes three experiments, including a preliminary experiment and two formal experiments, with which the dependent variable was implicit association test (IAT). The preliminary experiment recruits 84 undergraduates, using questionnaire and IAT, to investigate the existence of homosexuality implicit prejudice on the college students and the correlation of explicit and implicit prejudice; it provides the basis for the next formal experiment. Conclusions are as follows: The explicit attitude of college students towards homosexuality is neutral, they don’t show obvious prejudice, but the implicit prejudice exists, the correlation between explicit prejudice and implicit prejudice is low, they are separate.
