华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 I I 摘 要 本文是一篇翻译项目报告。该项目是受华中科技大学出版社委托，与同学共 同翻译完成。翻译的原文是一本英文原版书籍，书名为 Sustainability in Interior Design（《可持续室内设计》）。其目的是为了能够让中国学生通过这本书的学习， 掌握室内设计的先进方法并树立起可持续发展的设计理念，希望学生在今后从事 建筑设计的时能够做出积极的、创造性的和切实可行的选择。 译者在翻译时，以彼得纽马克的交际翻译理论为指导方向，以准确传达原文 意思为宗旨，重点采用“重写”的翻译技巧，实现翻译目的。交际翻译的重点是 根据目的语的语言、文化和语用方式传递信息，而不是一味的为了忠实原文而对 原文的文字进行复制。“重写”的翻译技巧就是要打破原文结构，重新整理信息， 按照译文的行文习惯进行重写，符合项目翻译的宗旨。而且“重写”后的译文可 以避免翻译腔严重所造成的阅读障碍，解除了因译文语言晦涩生硬造成的误解， 保证了译文的严谨性和准确性。 本报告主要介绍了翻译项目的背景及意义，并对翻译任务及过程进行了描述， 同时对翻译中遇到的难点举例进行分析，结合交际翻译原则和重写技巧对问题提 出解决方案，最后对解决方案及经验教训进行总结。 关键词：翻译项目报告 可持续室内设计 交际翻译 重写 教材 II II Abstract This is a translation project report on Sustainability in Interior Design by Sian Moxon. It is the reporter, together with other two classmates, that was entrusted to finish the translation project by Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press. The source text is an English book, entitled Sustainability in Interior Design. The main purpose of it is to promote the concept of sustainable development to people who want to create sustainable designs, and to introduce effective methods to integrate the idea into practical design. During translation, the reporter took “rewriting” technique to communicate the accurate meaning of the source text under the guidance of communicative theory. Communicative theory focuses more on the communication of the original meaning in the target language and culture than on the exact match of the literal meaning. In other words, it avoids word-for-word translation which is blindly faithful to the source text. The “rewriting” technique, in contrast, aims to break the original structure of the source text, to reorganize the information and to rewrite the text according to the writing habits of the target language, which suits the aim of this translation project. In this way, the translation can avoid both the confusion resulted from strong influence of the source language and the misunderstanding resulted from obscure and curt language, and thus gu
