Coal substation is the joint of the electrical network which has many kinds of loads, and high request of security condition.It’s automation level is very important. In this paper , the software system of substation synthetical automation and EMS is researched, and coal substation monitor and electronical management system is designed, which is connected with two transverse subjects that the author participated in his master candidate。The system advances the level of coal substation’s automation, the level of the management and the efficiency of the use of electrical energy. In this paper, the structure of the software system is designed as a whole, which is divided according to total function. The realization mode of the system’s network is discussed. The realization method of network database and monitor system which is based on Web mode is analysized. The network database is established by using Microsoft SQL Server and the accessing is realized by using Web technology, which made the exchange of information and the share of data much more efficient and abroad. In addition, the modeling method of object-oriented technology is discussed, and the object-oriented module of substation are founded, which is connected with substation automation’s actual use. The application of object-oriented technology in database is discussed, and the substation database is designed by using the object-oriented method. The technology of heterogeneous data conversion are discussed, which provides condition for data infortion and its real time disposal. The realizaton of the function of system software is introduced.
