Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center, Shanghai 201103, China) Abstract: Using confrontation test, detection of volatile and non-volatile inhibitory substances and assay of chitinase activity as well as inoculation on cucumber seedlings, we compared the potential biocontrol activity of four selected Trichoderma strains. Among them, strain YZ1303 showed the strongest antagonistic activity against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum in confrontation test, but the lowest chitinase activity in in-vitro detection. The non-volatile substances released from strain SH2303 exhibited the highest inhibition rate of 41.33% against pathogen growth, and the strain also had the highest control efficacy against cucumber Fusarium wilt.
