Ray Sokola (Chief Technology Officer) The M-Gates M-Gates have been designed to provide Motorola with a clear, unified approach to coordinating functions and enhancing communications related to the process of market and product line planning with system and product development The 16 M-Gates The 16 M-Gates can be classified into five phases Business Case Development Portfolio Planning Project Definition Implementation and Launch Closeout. At the end of each gate, reviews are held with the core team or with the Senior Management Team to go over the project status and risks. The contract book is the mechanism which helps us organize the projects. It is an ePM (Engineering Program Manager) deliverable used to show: which deliverables are required in which phase the status and location of each deliverable how each project is following M-Gates Which phase/Gate the project is in.
