Abstract Along with the development of the technology of the wireless communication particular the software radio technique, meantime the employ of wireless frequency are more presser, the development of the receiver tend towards high performance and high integration. Modern receiver is in pursuit of big dynamic range, good linearity, and high sensitive and so on. That extremely promotes the development of the frequency conversion circuit. Also the requirement of receiver becomes more rigorous. As the name implies, receiver need to improve the linearity, to reduce the noise, to expend the dynamic range, of course should ensure precision of the signal. The subject comes from “short-wave channel simulator”.The auther was responsible for implementation of the frequency conversion circuit in the system.The frequency conversion circuit consists of mixer,IF filters and AGC circuit. The high intermediate frequency superheterodyne structure with twice conversions is adopted in the final scheme. With AGC units the system gets a highdynamic range while the output signal accord the request of the A/D. At first, the deep analysis of receiver parameters is introduced in this paper. Subsequently,we got the system scheme according to compare with the modern receivers and integrate real condition, then the design methods are introduced about high dynamic range.At last the mixer circuit analysis and proof,the choice of IF filters.The ultimate testing results of this subject are represented at last.
