土地资源管理专业地理信息系统课程双语教学的研究
摘 要:针对工科背景土地资源管理专业的特点,通过理论教学与GIS软件深度应用相结合的教学内容组织安排,促进学生理论学习和实践操作技能巩固;以国外原版并经中国学者翻译导读的经典GIS教材结合学生接受能力设计具体教材;教学模式设计中以链式教学模式为指导设计实验教学环节,促进学生对专业实践技能的系统性认知和把握。针对双语教学实践中存在的问题,提出了进一步提高双语教学效果的途径。

Study on Bilingual Teaching of Geographical Information System Course for Land Resource
and Management

Abstract:Bilingual teaching of geographical information system(GIS)can improve the employment competition ability and the innovation ability of students,and help introducing the latest research achievements of GIS to the students.Based on the features of Major in land resource and management with characteristic of engineering,several methods were used as follow:the systematical integration of teaching in theory and GIS software operation,the design and application of teaching materials based on the combination of classical GIS book with reading guidance in Chinese and the capacity of students,and the design and application of practice teaching programme based on the chain education model.The challenges in teaching application include the limitation and inadequacy of bilingual teachers,the uneven English level of students,and over-informative original teaching material in English.Therefore,certain advices listed below was pointed out to further improve the teaching quality:increasing the bilingual teachers by employing and training staffs,introducing the level-based teaching to divide students into several levels based on their English ability and designing the corresponding level-based teaching materials,and optimizing the practice teaching programme.
