Then ecomuseums were founded in Guizhou according to the theory. So far, it has been twenty years since ecomuseums burgeoned and bloomed on the land. In this period of time, ecomuseums experienced a process from the public focus to a disputed topic and a bottleneck for the future development. Therefore, it is very important to look back and conclude the theoretic roots of the concept and the practice of ecomuseums in China for the future improvement.
