Compared with the continuity of functions, uniform continuity reflects the overall continuity of function on the whole interval. Therefore, exploring the essential meaning of uniformly continuous function is an important part of mathematical analysis. The paper will research the uniform continuity of functions from the “uniformly continuous study of sufficient condition and necessary and sufficient condition” point of view. Firstly, we will research the sufficient condition and necessary and sufficient condition of uniform continuity from the finite intervals, infinite intervals and arbitrary intervals. Secondly, we will research the applicability of uniform continuity to the functions’ arithmetic. Thirdly, the sufficient condition and necessary and sufficient condition of uniform continuity of different forms of functions is researched. For example, the reciprocal form of a function, compound functions, inverse function and periodic function. The last, we will use some examples to abstract the uniform continuity of functions and its application on the mathematical analysis
