With the help of my classmates and teachers, I overcame these difficulties. Firstly，I appreciate my tutor, Professor Xing Jiawei. Under the guidance of my tutor, I finished my thesis. My tutor supplied lots of insights for me. He pointed out the shortages and some problems of my thesis. With my tutor’s encouragement, I have finished my thesis successfully. However, there are lots of problems in the traditional vocabulary teaching methods, besides students’ English vocabulary learning also problematic. The new curriculum standard increases the demand for the vocabulary for senior high school students, so the innovation of English vocabulary teaching is very important. The researcher discusses the application of category theory in English Vocabulary Teaching in senior high school from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. This study is mainly based on teaching experiments. The empirical study was conducted among the students in a senior high school by questionnaires and tests.
