However, after the development of about 100 years, this large-scale production has begun to expose its disadvantages. Among them, the most obvious one is that it cannot meet with the demand of the growing personality of the consumers. Under this circumstance, the way of which can rapidly satisfy the market, has been more and more commonly applied by many car manufacturers. It is used as an important means of grabbing the segment market shares and improving the integral competence of the enterprises. Common line production or flexible line production means manufacturing two or more models of vehicles in one production line, which enables us to share tooling and fixtures, human resources and a variety of production support and corollary equipment to the largest extent on the basis of lean investment. Meanwhile, it can also realize the flexible planning of production in order to meet with the market rapidly. Not only can common line production display its advantages, it can also put forward a higher requirement to the control of the production process. The common environment of the body shop’s production line means sharing production tooling, that is to say different parts should be welded and assembled together in the same production line . Therefore, it will lead to the unique mode of losing effects in common production lines. How can we find the mode effectively and thus take actions? This thesis forms the FMEA mode and the PFMEA base which are applied to common production line of car plants by posing the method of FMEA in common production line, by analyzing the process controlled measures, and by studying the actual application of T200/T250 common production line in the body shop of Shanghai GM Dong
