The construction of pipe jacking has become one of the most important technologies for underground project. With the project commencing in greater range, the waste water treatment project encountered many complex geological condition and traffic condition. The location of the project and the construction environment make many ground excavation can not be used for the pipe jacking operation well. For this reason, the method of decreasing the number of operation wells, increasing the length of pipe, especially changing the linear pipe into long distance curvilinear pipe is widely used. With remaining works of drainage system reconstruction of Zhaojiabang road as an example, the key technique of the construction of the curved pipe jacking with large diameter and small radius is being researched. This paper focused on the contents which are shown below: Development and status of the curved pipe jacking technology both at home and abroad is described. It is indicated that the technology has become more and more popular with the continuous city development and its application area has become increasingly widespread. The construction principle and the process of the pipe jacking construction are analyzed and three limit equilibrium theories are discussed. Through the analysis of the principle and construction method it proposed concerned improvement solution according to the remaining works of the drainage system reconstruction of Zhaojiabang road and carryover effect is also analyzed.
