The Problems on Teaching Vocabulary in Junior Middle School the Solutions 初中英语词汇教学存在的问题及其解决策略 Abstract At present, cramming is still popular in the teacher-centered teaching vocabulary. Traditional teachers always spend a lot of class time asking students to read and write new words again and again. The meaning of new words are presented and explained directly in Chinese. As above reasons, more and more problems appear. The paper will mention four problems on teaching vocabulary: 1.Teaching words in isolation; 2.Exposing words incompletely; 3.Neglecting the process of memory; 4.Disconnecting culture background. The problems existed, the teacher must find out scientific techniques of teaching vocabulary. This paper will provide you five solutions: 1.Object lesson in teaching vocabulary; 2.Pictures in teaching vocabulary; 3.Body language in teaching vocabulary; 4.Leading-in in teaching vocabulary; 5.Riddles in teaching vocabulary. These solutions can stimulate students’ imaginations and their interests in English learning, and finally enlarge their vocabularies. By adopting scientific teaching vocabulary techniques, teachers can help students improve their language acquisition ability. Key Words: vocabulary teaching; problem; solutions 摘 要 目前，“填鸭式”教学依旧是英语词汇教学的主要方式。老师总是让同学们把新单词一遍一遍的机械的读写，单词的汉语意思也被直接的翻译过来了。由此可见在英语词汇教学方面存在着很多问题。本文主要列举了四个方面：1、孤立的教学单词2、不全面揭示词义3、缺少记忆环节4、脱离文化背景。针对这些问题，教师必须找到一些科学的单词教学方法。本文将提供五种科学有效的教学方法：1、实物教学2、图画教学3、体态语教学4、诱导教学5、猜谜教学。这些方法能激发学生们的英语学习兴趣，从而扩大词汇量。通过科学的词汇教学方法，教师可以帮助学生提高他们的英语习得能力。 关键词：词汇教学；问题；解决方法 The Problems on Teaching Vocabulary in Junior Middle School the Solutions Ⅰ.
