Period Five Teaching target 1. Revision 2. Study the language---Object clauses with question words. Help the Ss have a general idea of object-clause. 3. Ask some students to go on reciting the reading passage. b. Explain some additional exercises of the last lesson. 2. New lesson----Study the language (1) Revision ◇ Definition:在复合句中,作及物动词、介词或某些形容词的的宾语的句子。它作为主句的宾语。 ◇ Structure:主句 + 连接代词或连接副词 + 从句 ◇ Conjunctions: 连词:that, whether, if 连接代词:which, what, who, whose, whom 连接副词:when, how, when, why ◇ Tenses (宾语从句的时态与主句的时 态保持一致) 如果主句为一般现在时或将来时,从句要根据具体情况选择适当的时态。 如果主句为一般过去时,从句要根据具体情况选择响应的过去时态,如一般过去时,过去完成时,过去将来时,过去进行时等。 主句为一般过去时,宾语从句表示的是客观真理、自然现象、客观事实时,仍用一般现在时。 Word order (语序): 宾语从句的语序为陈述句的语序。 陈述句变为宾语从句语序不变。 一般疑问句、特殊疑问句变为宾语从句语序要作相应调整,主语必须位于谓语之前。 根据需要,人称要作相应的变化。一主二宾三不变。 (2) Introduce object clauses with question words. How long are you going to be away? Could you tell me how long you are going to be away? What time does their plane leave Beijing? Do you know what time their plane leaves Beijing? Where should we show our tickets. I don’t know where we should show our tickets. Which subject do you like best? He asked me which subject I liked best. How long have you kept that book? I want to know how long you have kept that book. How many times have you been to Beijing. Can you tell me how many times you have been to Beijing? Whose dictionary is this? Nobody knows whose dictionary this is. Who is the best at English in your class? Could you tell me who is the best at English in your class ? What’s the matter with your bike?
