The knowledge and using of domain names has been quite extensive nowadays. Various kinds of problems concerning domain names have come into appearance. The conflict between domain names and trademarks is particularly fierce. This dissertation finds out the uniqueness and identification of domain name based on the analysis of the concept, characteristics of domain names. After the establishment of the basement of domain names, this dissertation identifies the similarity and difference between domain names and trademarks. And this dissertation elaborates the deep reason of the conflict between domain names and trademarks. On this basis, this dissertation analysis the different types of conflict between domain name and trademark, compare three kind typical solutions solving the. Finally, the dissertation put forward some suggestions to solve the conflicts between domain names and trademarks.
