Listen to a dialogue and answer the following questions. Then read it aloud.
1. Dialogue: making a telephone appointment
Mr. Sheldon is making a phone call.
Mr. Sheldon wants to speak to Mr. Seto on the phone.
Mr. Seto will go to the Selden factory for a tour.
They will meet at about 2:30 Friday afternoon.
It will take about two and a half hours.
Receptionist: Good morning. Durapro Incorporated. May I help you?
Mr. Sheldon: Good morning. This is Tom Sheldon of Compten Products. May I speak to Mr. Seto, please?
Receptionist: Yes, just a moment and I’ll put you through…
Mr. Seto: Hello. John Seto speaking.
Mr. Sheldon: Good morning, Mr. Seto. This is Tom Sheldon of Compten Products. I’m calling to arrange the tour of the Selden factory.
Mr. Seto: Oh, yes, I remember.
Mr. Sheldon: Would Friday be convenient for you?
Mr. Seto: This Friday? Just a moment while I check my calendar. Yes, that’s fine, but it’ll have to be in the afternoon because I have a meeting all morning.
Mr. Sheldon: I see. What time Friday afternoon would be best for you?
