With the spread of computer and Internet information technology in China, which is in the middle and late stages of industrialization, the new science and technology revolution has brought about great changes in social production mode. The development clue of Engels’ thought of the road to industrialization has been hackled by rereading The Condition of the Working Class in England to theoretically improve the scientific understanding of historical materialism which explains the productivity standard and to deepen the artistic conception of the British Industrial Revolution in world history. The understanding of the thesis “constitutes its own way by itself” as well as the scientific meaning and era sense of the new industrialization road with Chinese characteristics should be deepened. It is helpful to clarify the dynamic of social change from the perspective of world history and to promote the practice of China’s road confidence, theoretical confidence, confidence in the system, cultural self-confidence.
