2 Abstract The formu1ation of the new curricu1um standards，new curriculum reform and the use of exam paper of new curriculum brought new goa1s and A requirements to the modern Chinese reading of high school，which a1so affected the modern Chinese reading of the nationa1 universi ties 飞 enr011ment examination. Here are some questions needed to be thought: how to make the modern Chinese reading test students reading abi1ity effectively ，how to improve their reading abi1ity of modern Chinese，and how the modern Chinese reading nationa1 universities enro11ment examination guides the teaching in high scho01. 1n this paper ， firstly ，the tortuous path of the Chinese modern reading are reviewed and historica1 experiences are summed up; Second1y， the exam paper of new curricu1um of the modern Chinese reading from 2007 to 2010 are researched by statistics ，comparing，analyzing; Fina11y ， the peculiari ties and limitations are summarized. Proposals were given. Through the study of Modern Chinese reading paper in the national universi ties enrollment examination ，we can find that the new curriculum standards 1eads the direction of the assignment and teaching ，and that the examination standards regulates the content and structure of the exam papers. The standard of the new curricu1um ，Chinese standards and Chinese teaching materia1s synchronously should keep congruously. Only in this way， exam paper of the reading nat ional universi ties enrollment examination could be a more accurate，more scientific way to test the Chinese abilities and attainments of college candidates.
