Therefore，how to estimate rapidly and accurately the status of orbit in order to reduce the harm of stray currents becomes particularly important. For the sake of detecting quickly and accurately the status of orbit，this paper base on the principle of SSTDR，and put forward system scheme on the basis of this principle . the design used DSP and CPLD circuit as a core module, in combination with the principle of SSTDR, take the DDS chip of AD9852 for the signal generator, it can produce a good detecting transmission waveforms .A chip of high-speed A/D is used for sampling, the sampled data to calculate at the form of the two correlation algorithm on the basis of one time correlation algorithm，according to the result of the two correlation algorithm to estimate the status of orbit. Completing hardware circuit design, CPLD software design based on the Verilog under the Quartus9.1 condition, DSP program algorithm design under the CCS3.3 condition in the paper.
