The genealogy was the important foundation of the government ’s officer selection as well as the foundation of family status marriage , it also had the function of consolidating the clan ’s cohesion. Compared with the family tree in Song and Yuan dynasties , the family tree in the Northern Dynasties’is farther. But the important difference between them is whether had relationships with the officer selection.
