Contents Brief Introduction Due to the influence of regional features, climate environment and custom, the catering products appear the differences of all grades in the raw materials, taste, cooking and dietary habit. Thus, there seems intense regionalism in the products. The difference between Chinese and American culture which originated from the counter mode of thinking and philosophy contributes to the diversity of food culture. All in all, Chinese pay more attention to theory that man is an integral part of nature, while Americans value people oriented. Different nation in different countries have its distinguishing features of food culture, which express the national creation by its richness and diversity. Therefore, with regards to the diet concepts and object, pattern and characteristics, there is a significant difference between China and the US. Chinese food American food various meat, beef,mutton fast food the cold drinks and snacks several meals one day Chinese cuisine has its main features diversified color, aromatic (芳香的)flavor, and excellent taste. With these three characteristics, Chinese cuisine is not only tasty but also a work of art for people to appreciate. Compared with Chinese food which pays attention to flavor, American food has a rational diet concept. No matter how the food color, fragrance, taste and shape are, the nutritional must be guaranteed that how much heat; vitamin; and protein should be absorbed per day.
