f f Abstract This thesis mainly discusses that how the depth of processing influences the effect of memory in vocabulary teaching. According to the level-of-processing theory which was put forward by predecessors, the author introduced the hypothesis of “A-levels-of-processing”, “insufficient processing depth” and “ineffective processing depth”. This thesis then tested these hypotheses with experiment.
