Due to ambigu ity of formativem echan ism of sand-sliding slope, countermeasure employed at present could not con- trol the d isaster, and some measures even aggravate destruction of slope. By means of investigation and study of typ ical sand-slid ing slope along Sichuan-T ibetH ighw ay, explained grow th w ith tmi ew as constitutive feature of sand- slid ing slope, and analyzed its disaster formativemechanism.
