The International Court of Justice elaborates the content, elements and application of this concept with great detail. Reviewing this case not only contributes to a better understanding of historic title per se, but also provides fruitful references to our future practice. According to the jurisprudence of this case, China is eligible to claim her historic title in resolving maritime disputes.
