In order to enhance the capability to prevent the damage caused by thunder to the mobile base station, and to ensure the equipment within it safety and normal working, and also to ensure the security of the buildings and the staff of the station, this article introduces the design of comprehensive thunder prevention based on Code for Design of Lightning Protection of Buildings and Specifications on Lightning Protection and grounding Design for Mobile Communication Base Stations. According to the feature of the Mobile Base Station, this design carries on a comprehensive prevention for it including grounding equipment, the connection of equal electric potential, direct thunder protection system, induction thunder protection system and so on. On the basis of the basic program, through the analysis of the technical and Economic factors, according to the differences of the stations, this article gets a practical solutions which can be applicable to the different environment .this design has some reference value to the actual project.
