The The Study on the Application of Low-Carbon Concept in Garden Landscape Author：Wang Qi Major：Landscape Architecture Supervisor：Wang Guanghe Abstract The low carbon idea of energy-saving came into being and has been gradually applied to various areas of life as the world is faced with a variety of problems．such as resource constraint，environmental pollution，and SO on．In the context of global warming，the low—carbon development of gardens is not only the key measure to alleviate climate problem，but also an important means of practicing the scientific development of China． The construction of low—carbon gardens in the garden landscape Can be more effective in improving the ecological environment and accelerating the sustainable development of gardens． Actually low—carbon garden is a new way of thinking of the construction of garden， which refers to a garden that combines the low—carbon idea wim the construction of garden． and it focuses more on energy—saving and carbon fixation as well as oxygen release of garden．This paper try to explore a relatively complete system of design method for the construction of low-carbon gardens，hoping to provide a more feasible and more innovative design method as well as design theory for the construction of low-carbon gardens in China． By methods of consulting literature materials，basic theory study,comparative analysis，case analysis，and induction method，this paper reviews the study background and development history of low—carbon garden as well as some theoretical studies and design results related to this topic，obtaining an overall perception of low·carbon garden design at home and aboard，and then this paper summarizes the concept，connotation and characteristics of low—carbon garden，establishing a corresponding theoretical framework； describes the differences and relationship between low--carbon garden and eco--garden and conservation-minded garden；and sums up the basic principles of building low-carbon garden．In addition，based on
