ABSTRACTMolecular—based ABSTRACT Molecular—based materials is an important branch of magnetic materials．耵le metal—radical approach has become one of the very promising strategies for the design and synthesis of molecular based magnetic materials in this field．In this paper，the main content is the design and synthesis of complex of the nitronyl nitroxide—metal complexes，and characterized by elemental analysis，IR analysis，UV analysis，X—diffraction analysis，and Magnetic Analysis．Include the following： We have successfully obtained eight kinds of nitronyl nitroxide and four kinds of oxalamide macrocycle．Using the nitronyl nitroxide of 3一methyl thienylphenyl act as organic ligands to react with hexafluoroacet3rlacetonate salt of rare earth metals and transition metals，8 complexes were obtained． Crystal structure analysis for Dy(hfac)3(NIYTh··m·-CH3)2 and Tb(hfac)3(NITTh·-m--CH3)2 reveal that the complexes are mononuclear triclinic system．The Dy(III)and Tb(III)ions are eight—coordinated in slightly distorted dodecahedron geometry．Nitronyi nitroxide of 3-methyl thienylphenyl，as bridge ligand，connect Dy(III)and Tb(III)ions to form a three—dimensional chain structure． Using the nitronyl nitroxide of 3-benzyloxyphenyl to react、析tll hexafluoroacetylacetonate salt of rare earth metals and transition metals，7 complexes were obtained．Crystal structure analysis for Cu3(hfac)6(NITPh—m—OCH2一Ph)2 reveal that the complex is mononuclear triclinic system．The CUl(II)ions、Ⅳith two oxygen atoms of the N—O group from nitronyl nitroxide radicals and six oxygen atoms from three different hfac anions are obtained five—coordinated in slightly distorted Tetrahedron．There are no intermolecular hydrogen bonds． Using the 4-dimethylamino—phenyl一4，4，5，5-tetramethylimidazoline一1一oxyl一3一oxide， 4’-fluorophenyl一4,4，5，5-tetramethylimida-zoline一1一oxyl一3一oxide)and 4-bromophenyl 一4,4，5，5一tetramethylimida-zoline-1一oxyl一3一oxide)to react with hexafluoroacetylacetonate salt of rare earth metal
