Abstract Tower crane(hereinafter referred to as the height of the tower,tower crane)with its long boom，lifting the weight of large，wide coverage，high efficiency characteristics of stmc饥lre and technology,occupies an important position in the field of construction，have been widely used．But the caSualties and equipment damage caused by tower crane accidents occurred frequently,major accidents occur frequently，the security problem of the tower crane haS aroused extensive attention of the society．Operation of the tower crane safety monitoring system using networking technology and machine vision technology to realize the real．time mollitoring the running state of the tower crane，the illegal operation early warning，security monitoring，statistical analysis，remote monitoring function· Construction safety supervision and management departments，construction compames and equipment safety management department provides a new technical means of supervision， to the tower crane using the life cycle of the whole process of implementation of intelligent monitoring，effectively regulate the tower crane in the use of process operation method， reduceⅡle tower crane in the construction site using the frequency of accidents occurred in the process，SO as to achieve the fundamental purpose of production safety．The research objective is the spirit of“sharing，standardized and efficient”principle，effective transmission tower crane safety management of each link of information help tower crane regulatory authorities to strengthen intemal management，enhance the quality of management，help to strengthen supervision，the main responsibility for the implementation of,for testing machine s缸uctLlre of scientific planning，improve work emciency；for the regulatory authorities to ease the contradiction between “human”，tlle establishment of long．term mechanism，give full play to the function of social supervision
